Accreditation to Quality Standards

Certification to Quality Standards

With the increasing emphasis on continually improving service delivery and the demand for providers to be certified to nationally recognised standards by our funding bodies, the need to maintain a robust and sustainable Quality Management System is a high priority for ParaQuad.

Ultimately, the purpose of certification to a quality standard is to strengthen our organisation and provide a framework that supports high quality care, services and client safety. Since ParaQuad offers a wide range of services, our Quality Management System is underpinned by multiple certifications aligned to different quality standards:

  • ACIS – Australian Community Industry Standard covering our Community Services (Clinical Services, Accommodation and Personal Care).
  • AS/NZS ISO 9001 – Quality Management standards covering the operations for BrightSky Australia and Mobility & Functional Support.

  • Food Safety Assessment – carried out by the Auburn City Council annually assessing the food management processes at Ferguson Lodge (Accommodation).

Adherence to these standards is routinely monitored through annual surveillance audits conducted by accredited third party organisations to ensure ongoing compliance to regulatory standards and assessment against best practice, assuring our Clients and customers of a robust and effective Quality Management System. Our current auditing body is Q-Audit.

The above quality standards are a benchmark for ParaQuad service and product delivery provision. All our processes including service and product delivery are documented, regularly reviewed, approved and implemented so that employees are well aware of their responsibilities. We are committed to:

  • meeting the reasonable expectations and needs of our Clients and customers
  • delivering our services and products in accordance with the requirements of the relevant funding bodies and legislation
  • maintaining comprehensive reporting and management practices relating to incident reporting, feedback and risk management
  • proactively engaging with our Clients and customers in order to receive first hand feedback and suggestions for improvement of our service delivery; and
  • monitoring our processes and service delivery and making changes as necessary to improve outcomes for our Clients and customers

Our Clients will be made aware of their rights and responsibilities from the beginning of their service and actively participate by being involved in the development and review of their care program.
